Gas Fireplace Installation

Both natural gas and propane gas are collectively referred to as gas appliances, or gas fireplace. If Midtown Chimney Sweeps provides a quote for a gas insert installation, a gas freestanding stove installation, or a gas fireplace installation we will also review the local requirement so that we comply with building and safety requirements for installing a gas line. Typically, Midtown Chimney Sweeps technicians are not certified or licensed plumbers, so you will need to also work with an expert local licensed plumber to have the gas line properly run to the fireplace prior to our arrival. Midtown will provide installation labor of the gas burning insert and associated full length aluminum liner kit upon proper quote review and acceptance by the customer. We had Byron from Midtown chimney fireplace store how to clean our open style wood burning fireplace.He did a good job cleaning it. Although it sounds like we need to have some creosote removed and maybe crown coat at the top but he was nice to work with .He also mentioned a woodburning insert with a $2000 tax credit possible so I might be interested in getting a woodburning insert with a full length insulated liner.

We had Monty from Midtown Chimney Sweeps come to our house today and do a thorough inspection and cleaning of our main chimney. Monty's time and expertise was well worth the price, inspecting any and all connection points inside the chimney with a camera, cleaning out the chimney, and explaining how to best operate it moving forward. We had used a different company before which took 20min w/ an amazon drill for a similar price and we were hesitant to try it again. After this experience, I'll stick w/ MCS from here on out. Well worth the price if you want to make sure your fireplace is safe to use for the winter!
