We had Byron from Midtown chimney fireplace store how to clean our open style wood burning fireplace.He did a good job cleaning it. Although it sounds like we need to have some creosote removed and maybe crown coat at the top but he was nice to work with .He also mentioned a woodburning insert with a $2000 tax credit possible so I might be interested in getting a woodburning insert with a full length insulated liner.

Midtown did a great job on a chimney inspection for us and they were very honest and found that an inspector who did the inspection on a chimney actually inspected the wrong chimney on a townhome. Our townhome chimney was in good condition and the next door chimney on the townhome was the one that wasn’t in good condition. They could of taken advantage of the situation but in stead they were very honest with us and said your chimney is in good condition and working properly. Very nice and professional company. I will be using them again in the future.

We had some leaking in our chimney and needed to get our cap replaced. Mason did a fabulous job today servicing our wood burning stove including climbing up on our steeply pitched roof. He also cleaned another wood burning stove for us earlier in the winter and, again, did a wonderful job. We will for sure call Mason again to inspect and clean our wood burning stoves.
