I just had MIdtown Chimney install a second pellet stove in my home, after they had installed one in a different part of the house earlier this year. I used them a second time because of the great and timely work they completed the first time. The second install was no different. The install team of Tanner, Chris and Levi were very professional and all around great people to have in your home. I will be continuing to use Midtown to for the annual cleanings.

This is a wonderful company. Byron and his team did a complicated re-route of a flue that our house's original owner had done improperly. They were timely, professional, and kind. Further, they have been super helpful when it comes to answering questions that we have about different things related to our stoves. Since writing the review below I have been in contact with Alice from Midtown Chimney Sweeps. Alice took the time to review the scheduling log to find out how my appointment was rescheduled. She worked with me to arrange for their technician, Mike, to fit me into the schedule this week. Mike was extremely polite and very knowledgeable about how to care and to prolong the life of my wood burning fireplace. My chimney flue was pretty dirty. Mike took the time to put a second drop cloth down to ensure the soot stayed in the fire box. The no show on the original appointment was an inconvenience, and it did cause me to look for other chimney sweep options. I am glad I stuck with Midtown, though. They were the only chimney sweep company that was willing to offer me a cleaning quote over the phone. I have updated my score from a 0 to a 5. I would recommend them to anyone reading this review.If I could give 0 stars I would. I scheduled an appointment with this company for a Monday at 3:30. We received an email on Friday with all of the instructions on how to prepare for our visit. I left work early to get home at 3:00 to wait for the technician. At 4:00 I called and found out the owner of the company moved our appointment date out to Friday. We didn't receive a call or notification. What kind of company does that? If you choose Midtown Chimney Sweeps, I suggest calling frequently to make sure they haven't haphazardly changed your appointment time. Or, better yet, just choose a company you can actually count on.

Doug did an excellent job cleaning our fireplace. He was prompt, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Even though it’s a very old chimney, he made it look brand new.He was also very kind to our dog. After our annual chimney cleaning and camera inspection, our technician Levi noticed 2 anomalies in two separate chimney flue sections of our 36 year-0ld Mendota Hearth wood fireplace. Levi took still images of the flue separations so we could both evaluate the problem and come up with a maintenance plan. We decided on a complete chimney flue replacement that went absolutely as planned. From the drywall opening cut in a closet wall which was needed to access the top of the firebox to the chimney cap removal to the closet wall drywall replacement and clean-up, we could not have been more satisfied. We had a wood burning insert that was no longer code compliant and Byron educated us on the new code and helped us with a turn-key installation.
